เรื่องราวของคู่รักคู่หนึ่งที่กำลังจะแต่งงานกันเร็วๆนี้ บินมาปารีสพร้อมกับครอบครัวของฝ่ายหญิง เนื่องด้วยเหตุผลทางธุรกิจ แต่ใครจะไปรู้ล่ะว่าการมาปารีสจะเปลี่ยนชีวิตของคนทั้งคู่ไป จากชายหนุ่ม ที่เป็นนักเขียน ซึ่งรักในศิลปะ และจำต้องใช้เวลาส่วนตัวและความเงียบในการแต่งผลงาน กับ หญิงสาว ที่ดูจะรักสังคมรักปาร์ตี้ซะเหลือเกิน แล้วแถมจะไม่ค่อยชอบศิลปะเท่าไหร่นัก แถมยังมีตัวแปรที่เป็นหญิงสาวอีกคนที่รักในงานศิลปะ และดูจะเข้ากันกับมากกว่า และเพื่อนใหม่แปลกหน้าที่มาพร้อมกับมิตรภาพที่พยายามจะผลักดันให้งานเขียนของเขาเป็นที่รู้จัก และคอยให้กำลังใจกับงานเขียนที่ดูจะไม่เป็นตามที่พูดเท่าไหร่ เขาต้องตัดสินใจทำในหลายๆสิ่งที่จะเปลี่ยนชีวิตเขาไปตลอดกาล แต่สิ่งหนึ่งที่มันจะไม่เปลี่ยนแน่ๆคือ เขารักปารีส เมืองของจิตรกร และนักเขียนช่างฝัน
Gil and Inez travel to Paris as a tag-along vacation on her parents business trip. Gil is a successful Hollywood writer but is struggling on his first novel. He falls in love with the city and thinks they should move there after they get married, but Inez does not share his romantic notions of the city or the idea that the 1920s was the golden age. When Inez goes off dancing with her friends, Gil takes a walk at midnight and discovers what could be the ultimate source of inspiration for writing. Gils daily walks at midnight in Paris could take him closer to the heart of the city but further from the woman he\\\'s about to marry.
